You can test drive the 2018 Santa Fe today.

Hyundai has a new model in the works, an SUV that's larger than the Santa Fe with three rows of seating. It's only been spied under obscuring covers and is yet unnamed, but it's plain to see that the new model will be the biggest Hyundai SUV in their lineup.

Slated to release at some point in 2019, it's speculated that the new SUV will make use of Hyundai's Lambda V6 engine family, given that it's the natural powertrain choice for a vehicle of this size, which would be paired with an 8-speed transmission. The chassis is likely to be all-new with front-wheel drive and an all-wheel drive option.

While there's no information on the starting price of such a vehicle, it's reasonable to expect that the new model would start out at just under $40,000 when you compare it to current Hyundai SUVs and their starting prices. The bigger size would warrant the larger price tag.
